Product Translate

The Translate Products tool is a powerful AI-driven solution to translate your assortment quickly and accurately. Instead of manual translations, this tool uses context-aware AI to convert product titles, descriptions, and metadata into the desired language while preserving SEO value and the correct tone of voice.

You can find the tool in the sidebar under Translate > Translate Products. Here you will see an overview of all the products in your online store.

Translating a single product​

  1. Select a product: Find the desired product in the list and click the 'Translate' button.
  2. Choose the languages: In the pop-up, select the source language under 'From' and the target language under 'To' (e.g., from English to Dutch).
  3. Check the source text: The tool immediately loads the current product information, such as the title, description, meta tags, and content.
  4. Choose a prompt: You can type your own instruction or use the 'Quick prompts':
  • Literal translation: For an exact representation of the source text.
  • Persuasive translation: For copy that encourages purchases in the new language.
  • Formal tone: For a business-like and professional appearance.
  • Natural phrasing: Ensures the text flows smoothly and doesn't feel like a machine translation.
  1. Generate content: Click 'Generate content'. The AI will draft the translation, which you can then review and apply.

Translating products in batches​

Do you have a large assortment? With the batch function, you can translate hundreds of products simultaneously.

Please note: Batch functionality depends on your subscription type. You need at least a Growth plan.

Workflow for batches​

  • Make a selection: Use the search function to filter the products you want to translate.
  • Start batch: Click the 'Translate entire batch' button at the top right.
  • Testing: Before the entire list is processed, the tool will ask you to perform a test on the first product. This ensures that the chosen settings and prompts yield the desired result.
  • Approval: After a successful test, start the full task. You can follow the progress live in the dashboard.

  • Full data translation: Not only the product description is translated, but also the Meta titles, Meta descriptions, and even the FAQ sections.
  • Ingredients & Specifications: The AI recognizes technical data and lists of ingredients, ensuring they remain correct or are translated where necessary.
  • SEO preservation: The tool is designed to integrate important keywords in the target language so your international findability remains optimal.
  • Credits: Translations consume credits. For large batches, you will see an estimate of the costs beforehand so you never face surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions​

Can I undo a translation? Once a translation is approved and saved, it goes live immediately. If you are not satisfied, you can use the backup tool or start a new translation round with an adjusted prompt.

Does translation work for hidden products? Yes, you can filter by visibility in the overview. Even products set to 'Hidden' can be translated before you set them live.
