Automations & AI Workflows
The Automation feature (currently in BETA) is a powerful tool within InStijl.AI that allows you to fully automate your webshop processes by combining triggers and AI-driven action steps. Instead of manually running tools for each product, workflows handle repetitive tasks automatically in the background whenever a specific event occurs.
How Do Automations Work?
Every automation starts with a 'workflow' and consists of two main components:
- The Trigger: The event that kicks off the workflow (for example, when a new product is created or when an existing product is updated).
- The Action Steps: One or more automated tasks that the AI performs sequentially after the trigger fires (such as rewriting content, translating, changing visibility, or adding a delay).
Creating a Workflow
To create a new automation, navigate to Automations via the sidebar and click on 'New workflow'.
1. Basic Settings
- Workflow Name: Give your workflow a clear, recognizable name (e.g., "Automatically translate and rewrite new products").
- Trigger: Choose when the workflow should execute:
- At each new product
- At each product update
- More triggers will folow soon
2. Adding Action Steps
Click on 'Add step' to add one or more actions to your workflow. You can choose from several action types:
- Product Rewrite: Automatically optimize or rewrite product titles, descriptions, and metadata using AI prompts or saved templates from your Prompt Library.
- Product Translate: Translate product content into different languages using AI prompts or saved templates from your Prompt Library.
- Set Template Data: Apply standardized template data automatically.
- Related Products: Fill the Related products with AI suggestions. You can choose how many products, what type of related products and set your own custom rules using a prompt.
- Product Specifications: Fill product specifications with AI based on product data. You can choose and instruct how the AI should fill in the specifications table.
- Publish Product: Make the product visible in your storefront automatically once processed.
- Unpublish Product: Temporarily hide the product during processing or updates.
- Delay: Add a time buffer (e.g., a 5-minute delay) between steps to sequence actions smoothly.
Once you have configured your steps and added at least one action, click 'Save workflow' to activate it.
Managing Your Workflow Automations
In the main Workflows overview screen, you can manage all your active and inactive automations:
- Status Toggle: Easily enable or disable a workflow using the switch toggle without deleting it.
- Edit: Modify existing steps, change prompts, or update triggers at any time by clicking the edit icon.
- Duplicate: Copy an existing workflow to quickly build similar automations with slight variations.
- Delete: Remove workflows you no longer need.
Performance & Insights
Each workflow card in your overview provides real-time performance metrics so you can track your efficiency:
- Executions: Total number of times the workflow has been triggered.
- Completed / Failed Runs: Breakdown of successful versus unsuccessful operations.
- Credits Used: Total AI credits consumed by the workflow.
- Estimated Time Saved: Calculated manual time saved through automation.
Tip: Workflows run seamlessly in the background, saving you hours of manual catalog management while keeping your product data fresh, translated, and SEO-optimized 24/7!
