Footer

The footer is located at the very bottom of your webshop and is visible on every page. This is the perfect place for important (but not directly commercial) links, such as customer service, contact details, policy pages, and a subscription to your newsletter.

At the highest level of the footer section, you can manage the general display and extra features:

  • Color scheme: Determine the background and text color of your entire footer (by default, this is often set to a different color like 'scheme-2' to stand out well against the rest of the page).
  • Show policy links (Show policy): Check this to automatically add links to your legal pages (such as Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Terms of Service) at the very bottom of the footer. You configure these via the Shopify Admin settings.
  • Follow on Shop: Show a button that allows customers to easily follow your store via Shopify's Shop app.
  • Custom Class: For advanced users who want to add extra CSS.

You build the content of your footer using various blocks. You can drag and drop to change their order yourself.

Socials & Newsletter (Social-newsletter) An eye-catching, combined block to stay in touch with your visitors (maximum 1 can be added).

  • Design: This block can have its own different color scheme.
  • Social Media: Give the block a title, choose the font weight (normal or bold), and write a short introductory text. The social media icons that appear here are automatically loaded from the general 'Social Media' theme settings.
  • Newsletter: Set a title, font weight, and an engaging text here as well to encourage customers to subscribe.

Navigation (Menus) Use this block to offer handy lists of links (maximum 8 can be added).

  • Title: Give the menu a clear name (e.g., "Customer Service" or "About us").
  • Menu: Link the desired menu that you created in the Shopify navigation.
  • Open by default on mobile: On mobile screens, footer columns are often shown as dropdown menus (accordions). Check this if you want this specific menu to be open by default for mobile visitors.

Content Block (Text) Ideal for company information, opening hours, or a welcome message (maximum 8 can be added).

  • Title & Content: Enter a heading and use the text editor (rich text) to format your information with, for example, bold text or internal links.
  • Open by default on mobile: Just like with navigation, you can also have text blocks open by default on mobile devices.

It is possible to add one of the standard sections to the footer group. These sections will then be automatically displayed on every page in your webshop. This makes it the ideal place to add the 'Newsletter' section, for example, so that it is displayed on every page.
