Testimonials
The Customer Reviews section is essential for building trust with your visitors. By showcasing positive experiences from existing customers, you lower the barrier for new customers to make a purchase. This section is presented in a dynamic slider, allowing you to display many reviews without making the page too long.
General Layout & Design
- Color scheme: Choose the color scheme for the background and text of the section.
- Section display (Type): Determine whether the background of the section spans the full width (Full width / Edge-to-edge) or is centered within a frame (Box / Container).
- Spacing (Whitespace): Manage the margin and padding for the top and bottom to give the section the right amount of space on the page. Choose between default spacing or no space (None).
Slider Settings
The reviews are displayed in a carousel. You can fine-tune the display per device:
- Reviews in view (Slides per view):
- Desktop: Choose from 3 to 8 reviews simultaneously, or select 'auto'.
- Tablet & Mobile: Choose whole or 'half' views here (such as 1.5 or 2.5). A half slide at the edge of the screen shows visitors that there is more to read.
- Navigation & Effects:
- Pagination: Show navigation dots below the slider.
- Playful staggering (Alternate offset): Check this to place the review cards alternately slightly higher or lower for a dynamic effect.
- Carousel overflow: Determine whether the slider is cut off cleanly at the frame or visually extends to the edge of the screen.
Text & Buttons (Introduction)
You can place an introductory text above the reviews:
- Alignment: Align the title and text to the left, center, or right.
- Title Formatting: Add a catchy heading (e.g., "What our customers are saying") and adjust the SEO HTML tag, visual size (H1 to display), and font weight.
- Content (Rich text): Use this field for a brief explanation or a thank you to your customers.
- Action buttons (Buttons): Add up to two buttons (e.g., "Leave a review"). Give the button a label, link, icon, and choose between a normal or 'outline' style.
Adding blocks (Reviews)
You can fill this section with two types of blocks:
1. Review (Manual review)
Use this block to manually add reviews you have received via email or social media, for example.
- Rating: Select the number of stars (1 to 5) to be displayed.
- Title: A short summary or the name of the customer.
- Content: The actual text of the review.
2. InStijl Review Block (Automatic reviews)
If you use a supported review app, you can add this block to automatically load reviews into the slider.
- Max length: Determine after how many characters the text should be automatically shortened to keep the cards in the slider at a uniform height.
